Got melanin?
Melanin is the pigment responsible for skin, hair, and eye color.
Different individuals have different levels of melanin in their skin, leading to varying skin tones and sensitivities. Treatments must be tailored to each person’s unique skin type and level of melanin production.
Conditions like hyperpigmentation (dark spots, melasma) or hypopigmentation (e.g., vitiligo) are linked to how melanin is produced or distributed. Your skincare therapist needs to assess the underlying cause and choose the best treatment to avoid worsening pigmentation issues.
